So I still don't have the internet at home. But I am tweeting very very regularly. XD So if you have a Twitter and (some would say wisely) don't follow me, please start? I'm
diamondlife over there. :] I've got to tell you, not having the internet at home is the MOST INCONVENIENT THING EVER! >_< I'd forgotten just how annoying it is to not be able to look something up on iPlayer or YouTube if you've missed it on TV! And not being able to dl stuff when I see it is such a pain, cos I'm so forgetful, haha. But my phone line should have been installed today, so hopefully sometime over the next week or so I will also have internet. @_@ I hope they let me know when, lol. Broadband is so complicated, I miss the days when I had cable! So straightforward! >_<
Many thanks to those who've sent me cards so far! :D I'm not at home so I can't remember who off the top of my head, but I have them all displayed on my mantelpiece! :D I've sent most of mine but I know I still have a few to do, so there's always the danger they'll be late (as usual). There's also some people who I'd love to send cards but I didn't note down your addresses from your own LJs and I can't remember who has posted and who hasn't, so I'll go the V-gift route for you guys. ;3 Which reminds me, thanks also for the snowflakes! I really wanted to send some myself but by the time I was back home (I think I was at Center Parcs at the time - yeah, s'been busy XD) the facility had gone, lol.
So, how about that X-Factor then? I really really wanted Olly to win, but as we've seen being runner-up is often just as good or even better, so hopefully he'll also have a great career. I really really want to go to the tour XD but will I still in March, or will I wish I hadn't spent the £30? This is the dilemma, haha. Tickets are almost gone, so I need to decide fast too. :X (Admittedly I'd've bought them already probably if I had internet at home, lol. Don't wanna put my debit card details into an unsecured network though! ^^')
I actually feel really sad X-Factor is over this year. I really felt involved, and the people I really liked got right to the final. People were saying it wasn't vintage, but those are the same people who are always snobby about it anyway, so. I've come to really despise the snobbiness, too. Why shouldn't people who are genuinely talented performers get a chance like that? Because they *have* to be talented to get far! I think it's great when the winner is a nice, humble person who can be a great example and role-model. Like Diversity, who I also really really want to see live next year. Hard work and talent deserve rewards! And just maybe they'll show other young lads that it's worth putting your all into something and caring about something, and just maybe you'll make it too.
(Finally on the topic, re: icon - don't judge me. >.> Let's face it, I was never *not* going to be won over by things like
this. It's a genetic impossibility. I can't resist.)
Have also been having really deep pangs of wanting to see K8 again. I hope they do more than just concerts next year though, but moreover I hope they're at a time when I could go! I just feel like I'll never get as good a chance as 2008 again, though, and I fluffed that. :/ Yes I'm still bitter damnit!!!
...And that's it. XD Good luck to those who are doing exams, writing essays etc! I seriously haven't done any of my own work for weeks. This semester has just been too busy, what with the teaching workshops and, y'know, moving house. @_@ I'm dreading having to do work again, haha. But I really will have to get a move on over the holidays. >_< I hope there's lots of fun stuff to help me procrastinate though"! ;)
